Job Description:
Between 4 years to 7 year experience in LAN, WAN, wireless and firewall technologies. specialize in BGP, OSPF, Silverpeak SD WAN, Juniper Junos, Cisco IOS, Palo Alto & Aruba technologies.
- Must independently manage network projects from A to Z with minimal supervision.
- Manage and install wireless access points, switches, routers, firewalls. Examples are:
- Cisco switches and routers - Provide level2 and level3 network support - Work on network projects with minimal supervision. - Good communicator working with business units.
- Palo Alto firewalls - Assist in 2nd line troubleshooting activities for switches, routers and firewalls (performance related).
- Manage security policies on LAN/WAN/DMZ - Create reports for IT management concerning systems performance and usage: - Review system logs and alerts; respond according to documented procedures - Monitor and report on performance for all switches, routers and firewalls.
- Perform ongoing capacity and performance planning for all assigned servers, applications and technologies.
- Develop and document procedures around IT network administration.
- Ensure alignment with IT security policy and corporate standards.
- Give input to the IT Software and/or Infrastructure Architect for new directions or any adjustments to the technology roadmaps. - Assist in 2nd line troubleshooting activities for switches, routers and firewalls (performance related).
