Job Description
• Strategies and lead global spend reduction for warehousing, Transportation and ocean freight by optimizing product and customer specific routing & distribution strategy.
• Optimise multiple modes of transportation such as Ocean, Air & Road for each product & customer to ensure timely delivery and lowest possible cost.
• Taking adequate measures to monitor and analyze the performance of shipping lines, freight forwarders, warehousing partners, CHA & transporters globally pertaining to cost, quality and delivery norms.
• Develop and monitor leading indicators for all warehouses globally.
• Design distribution strategy for new business for route planning, partner identification, warehouse etc.
• Resolving issues / complaints.
• Market Analysis/information in terms Freight rates.
• Ensuring all systems & procedures are adhered and documents are maintained.
• Finalization (Drafting & Negotiating) of service contracts and agreements.
• Lead Cost reduction in logistics.
• 3PL management i.e. From RFQ floatation to appointment, entering into agreement, framing up SOP and setting up tracking mechanism.
Mandatory Skills.
• Logistics buying experience and good rapport with global shipping lines
• Having setup warehouses in other countries
• Understanding of global trade flow
• Proven negotiation skills
• understanding of IMDG, DOT and IATA codes
• E-Auction experience.
• Inland Shipping
• Overseas Warehouse Set up
• Should be a strategic planner with expertise in implementing cost saving measures to achieve reduction in terms of logistics cost.
• Effective communicator & negotiator with strong analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities.
